July 1, 2024: My new short film, Grounded, has wrapped. Festival run to begin this fall.
June 20, 2024: Human Resources will screen in this year's Breckenridge Film Festival, September 19 - 22.
April 30, 2024: Human Resources screened in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival and was named one of the Best of the Fest Short Films.
February 20, 2024: Human Resources will screen at the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC as part of the Philip K. Dick Sci-Fi Film Festival April 4-7.
November 15, 2023: Post-production has begun on Grounded, a new short film I'm writing/directing.
October 24, 2023: Lavomatique won a Director's Choice Award in the Cinema Diverse Film Festival.
September 12, 2023: Bough Brothers, the feature film I co-wrote with director Nickolaus Swedlund, will screen in the Duluth/Superior Film Festival in early October.
August 29, 2023: Lavomatique has been selected for this year's Cinema Diverse Film Festival in Palm Springs, running September 21st through October 1st.
July 1, 2023: Pre-production has begun on Grounded, a new short film I'm writing/directing to be filmed in the Twin Cities in August.
March 24, 2023: My new film Lavomatique (directed by Sean Skinner with Red23 Films) will premiere at the Z-Fest Film Festival on April 15, 2023. Tickets are available here.

March 20, 2020: The Misanthrope was nominated for 5 awards in the Z-Fest Film Festival, including Best Screenplay.
March 7, 2020: The Misanthrope (directed by Jason P. Schumacher, written and produced by me) had its world premiere at the Z-Fest Film Festival.
February 28, 2020: Tonight is the premiere screening of Our First Films, a film festival I helped organize at Film Space in St. Paul.
February 8th, 2020: We have wrapped on the The Misanthrope, which will screen on Saturday, March 7th (session 4) in the Z-Fest Film Festival. Tickets can be purchased here.
January 30, 2020: We are now in post-production on The Misanthrope, a new short film I wrote and am producing with GreyDuck Productions, directed by Jason P. Schumacher.
December 14, 2019: Utopia Planitia, the web series that I'm a contributing writer on, won Best Screenplay in this year's Asia Web Awards. The series will debut on Seeka.TV on January 14, 2020.
October 26, 2019: My film Jane's Comet screened twice during the Twin Cities Film Fest and won Audience Choice Award, runner up.
October 18, 2019: Had a great time being a guest on the Lori and Julia show on MyTalk 107.1FM, talking about my work, the local filmmaking community, and the Twin Cities Film Fest.
September 26, 2019: January, the short film I wrote earlier this year (directed by Alan Tracy, based on a short story by Nick Olson) is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.
September 12, 2019: My film Jane's Comet has been selected to screen in this year's Twin Cities Film Fest, running October 16th - 26th.
August 21, 2019: Utopia Planitia, the web series that I'm a contributing writer on, won Best Pilot in this year's Seoul Webfest.
July 20th, 2019: My film Jane's Comet received Honorable Mention from this year's LA Underground Film Forum.

January 19, 2019: Production has begun on Jane's Comet, a short film I'm writing and directing. We'll be in production for the next few months with the goal of wrapping this Spring.
December 8th, 2018: Production has begun on Utopia Planitia, a web series I'm a contributing writer on. Directed by George Reese, Utopia Planitia will go live in mid 2019.
